Get your first fix of powder this Saturday as we spin the Coronet Express and Meadows lifts (2 weeks ahead of schedule!). Buses will be running from the Snow Centre in town and we’ll have the coffee bar open to keep you fuelled for your first day of the season. We will have the M1 and Big Easy groomed, but the rest of the Peak is yours to explore for off piste conditions!
The Peak is opening two weeks early for a one-day taster ahead of the season which officially starts on June 16.
Nigel Kerr, Coronet Peak Ski Area Manager, and his team have been assessing the conditions throughout the week to make the call. “We’re really pleased to be able to do this for our loyal customers, giving them a chance to check out the slopes. They are looking really good, right now,” he says. “Coronet Express opens up a lot of terrain and vertical metres, so they’ll get a good taster.” He says it’ll be early season conditions with the M1 and Big Easy groomed. “It should be a good day to warm up the legs for the season ahead with a promising weather forecast to boot.”
We would also like to give a massive shout-out to both The Remarkables and Coronet Peak who are making this possible!
